Finally finished and delivered to my beautiful friend and sister in Christ, Barb!
Sometimes a painting is like a child to the one that has worked so hard at creating just the perfect story on canvas, most of my paintings are like that to me. I find it hard to part with them. I know that this one is going to a wonderful new home and will be cherished. God's many blessings to you Barb, I hope it fills you heart with as much joy when you look at it as it has filled my heart creating it for you, and just in time for Easter!
May you all have a wonderful and blessed Easter! Love and Hugs!
Your comments are are a blessing to me!
New sketches for a future painting! These two love birds are sketched in graphite. I woke up to the sound of "Who, who, who who! Answered with another " Who,who who,Who!" A little while later I was letting our dog Kedo, outside and up in our tree in the front yard where these two beautiful owls! I did a quick sketch of them for a reference.
I have been busy creating!
And having lots of fun trying out new projects as well as drawings and paintings!
This one is named "Worship" painted in Acrylics on
12" x16" on Canvas board.
The inspiration for this painting actually came when I was having coffee with a friend and she was browsing through some pictures of my paintings and came across a drawing of a little girl dancing. She asked me if the little girl was a native dancer. She isn't but as the story unravels...
Every Thursday afternoon a group of ladies from our church and their friends meet at a restaurant here in Osoyoos to have coffee and a lot of fun. We have a lot of laughs sharing stories, life events, and a lot of love! One of my dear sweet sisters in Christ is also a very talented Artist. A couple of Thursdays ago we decided to share some of our projects with the ladies and then we challenge each other to do something to exchange with each other. I wanted to do something very special for her as she is always giving to everyone "just because"! So as the story unravels...I went home and sat with paints at hand and stared at my canvas, then asked God what he wanted me to paint... and well you can see the out come! After I painted it I put a coat of resin over it. My first time doing this. I decided it needs a few more layers of resin so I am going to finish the layers before it goes home to is special place on "Mrs. Miles" Craft room wall!
Bye the way...Mrs. Miles loved it!
Below are some of the new creations I have done. My very first of resin projects! I think there will be more to come!
